Hey everyone! 🌟 Just wanted to share my recent work for my portfolio – a little project where I took random household objects and turned them into 3D models. 🏠✨
Meet this year-old pot we got to celebrate Pongal! Now, it's not in use, but it's still serving a purpose as a cool texture reference. 🍲 Tried my best to capture all its beautiful details.
Started with the base mesh in 3ds max, then hopped over to ZBrush for the high poly stuff – chipped damages and all those intricate details. Textures were crafted in Photoshop and Substance Painter. 🖌️
Collected some grains and brushed textures, blended them in Photoshop to give that grainy texture for the pot. Used Xnormal to nail down the normal cavity and Ao of the base texture. Then, into Painter for more wear, scratches, damages, color variations, and roughness. Anchor points were my go-to throughout!
The result? A game-ready model, complete with LOD 0 and LOD 1.
You can find the some real-life reference photos at the end.
Just wanted to share the process and details with you all – hope you like it!
